Christmas Stamp-A-Stack Cards…

by michelle on August 27, 2011

I thought I would share the cards my class ladies made at my Stamp-A -Stack…

Card Number One… BLING BAUBLE

This is a re-make from  last year of a card that I CASED from Sarah Jane Kale, in last years I had embossed the main mat, this year I thought it would be economically feasible to use the DSP that is about to retire, these days Christmas Cards do not need to be Red, Green, Silver and Gold, you just need to look in the Christmas section of Myer to see that. I have shown you one here is using Stampin’ Up! Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper. I also used Jolly Holiday, Lap of Luxury, Play Date (the red and green sides on this paper is excellent for Chritmas cards), Greenhouse Gala and Celebrations DSP.

Not being sure how many were attending my Stamp-A-Stack, I cut for 20 people, I had 13 attend so I have enough packs cut out for my own Christmas Cards, which will save me a lot of work at my retreat in November :)

Here is close up of the gorgeous ‘bling’ bauble

Stamp Sets: Contempo Christmas
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla (Inside) Elegant Soiree Gala DSP
Ink: Early Espresso, Versamark
Punches: Ornament
Accessories: Heat & Stick Powder, Dazzling Diamonds, Very Vanilla 3/8″ Tafetta Ribbon
Tools: Sticky Strip, Bone Folder, Scoring Blade

Card Number Two… FOIL BAUBLE

I love Black, White and Silver, so thought this was the perfect combination for a card with Silver baubles, I have used the Stampin’ Up! Adhesive Sheets to adhere aluminum foil to whisper white cardstock for  strength, I then embossed half of it with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and scored the bottom for a bit more detail on the background.

And a close up of the beautiful Silver Foil Baubles…

Stamp Sets: Heard From The Heart
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Versamark
Punches: Ornament Punch
Accessories: Aluminum Foil, Adhesive Sheets, Vintage Wallpaper & Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folders, Basic Black 1/8″ Tafetta Ribbon, Silver Embossing Powder
Tools: Big Shot, Snail Adhesive, Bone Folder, Scoring Blade, Dimensionals

Card Number Three… THE WREATH

For this one I stamped the wreath in Old Olive then coloured the berries with the Real Red marker, I then embossed it with the Stampin’ Up! Square Lattice Embossing Folder, the sentiment is handcut.

A close up, again…

Stamp Sets: Welcome Christmas
Cardstock: Old Olive, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Old Olive, Real Red Ink & Marker
Punches: Nil
Accessories: Real Red 3’8″ Taffeta Ribbon, Square Lattice Embossing Folder
Tools: Big Shot, Bone Folder, Scoring Blade, Dimensionals

Card Number Four… MOVERS AND SHAPERS CARD

For this one I used the Stampin’ Up! Movers & Shapers Die because I like that I can place my cut out piece anywhere on the card using this die, whereas you are limited with the punch on how far in you can go. I embossed the Whisper White mat with the gorgeous Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, and used punches to create detail around the cut circle on the front also for the peep through to the inside, very effective don’t you think? This die is great for placing your Stampin’ Up! Sweet Treat & Heart Treat cups, wherever you want them on the card.

Thanks for sharing your technique for embossing onto aluminum foil. I am now ready to give it a try.
